Tourism awards announced at the Croatian Tourism Days, 2016 Fantastic recognition. Dubrovnik is the champion of Croatian tourism and the Best City Break destination

Dubrovnik was named the Best City Break destination and the champion of Croatian tourism at Croatian tourism days held in Bol on the island of Brac. Furthermore, seven Dubrovnik based hotels were also awarded, while Konavle area was recognized as the Leading Rural Area Destination.

Katija Zvone Krmek from the Adriatic Luxury Hotels was awarded ‘Employee of the Year’ in the category 'Person - the key of success in tourism', as the best Sales and Marketing employee in tourism, while Mateo Gverovic of Valamar Hotels and Resorts was awarded ‘Best Chef’ in the same category.

The Valamar Lacroma was also named the best Conference hotel in Croatia; Dubrovnik Palace Hotel was named the Best Resort hotel in Croatia among the five star hotels; Hotel Neptun the best Resort Hotel among the four star hotels, while the Valamar Argosy, in the same category, was awarded the best among the three star hotels.

The Valamar Dubrovnik President hotel was named the Best Wellness Hotel; the Leading Small Family hotel is Boutique hotel Pucic Palace, while two of the awards go to the Villa Dubrovnik, which was selected as the Leading Unique Luxury hotel and the Best Luxury Hotel in Croatia.

ACI Marina Komolac was designated as the third Best Medium sized marina.
